When I’m not preparing for or taping The Christian View, you will often find me running in a local park by the river, biking across gorges in north Georgia or enjoying time on the lake with my family. I’m a warm-weather, southern girl at heart, although my family loves to snow ski, so I psych myself up for at least one cold-weathered trip each year. But, I’d much rather enjoy the sun and sand with a good book from one of my favorite authors. A pastor of mine often made a distinction between your calling and your passion, which aren’t always the same thing. My passion is fitness. I started running when I was an overweight teenager and haven’t stopped. Starting with smaller 5K races, I soon began a journey of pushing myself to physical limits as I progressed to competing in Ironman races around the country, including the Ironman World Championships in October 2022. Whatever your passion, it will always challenge your commitment through discipline. That disciple often prepares you for your calling.
My calling started in the bondage that I experienced growing up, and the many personal struggles that I had to overcome. I have seen the amazing healing power of an Almighty God in my life and my family, and how He replaces those wounds with a calling to inspire others to experience their own personal freedom in Christ, whether in relationships or individual struggles. Over time, the Lord has opened many doors to bring that message to people around the world. I founded The Christian View Media, Inc., a non-profit organization to produce The Christian View television talk show and The Christian View online magazine to bring the inspiration and hope of Jesus Christ to the world.
In addition, I am a regular national speaker at women’s, marriage conferences and other national and local venues. As an ordained minister, licensed pastoral counselor, Ironman triathlete, mom, wife, media personality and southern girl that still drinks Coke for breakfast, my background is quite varied, and my life experiences contribute towards an ability to reach diverse audiences across a number of topics.
